6 Card Golf

Six Card Golf is a single-player browser card game based on the classic tabletop card game Golf (also known as 6-Card Golf). You play 9 holes against a CPU opponent, trying to end each hole with the lowest total score in your 6-card hand.

How to Play

Each hole, you're dealt a 3×2 grid of face-down cards. Peek at two of them to start, then take turns drawing from the deck or snatching the top discard. Swap a drawn card into your hand, or discard it and flip a face-down card instead. The round ends when any player has all six cards face-up — then scores are revealed.

The twist: matching cards in the same column cancel each other out, scoring zero. So a well-placed pair can erase big penalty cards entirely.

The Cards

Instead of standard suits and numbers, the deck is packed with golf-flavored cards across five types:

• Clubs — Drivers, irons, putters (low–mid values)
• Shots — Chip shots, draws, fades, bogeys (mid values)
• Hazards — Water, bunkers, deep rough, Out of Bounds (high penalties)
• Players — Amateurs, pros, hackers (low positive values)
• Specials — Hole-in-One, Eagle, Mulligan, Caddie Advice (negatives and zeros!)
